I’m not positive but I think that most civilian pilots get their licenses by attending flying schools, not universities. Other than Embry Riddel I can’t think of any universities that specialize in flight. I got my private pilot’s license through a private flying school at the local airport when I was in high school. After someone gets their initial license you can add different ratings by taking more classes. Eventually you go from flying a little tiny single engine plane to a large passenger plane like a 747. If I was you I would inquire at a local flight school near your airport, not through a university.
