Online degrees?

I’ve been thinking about getting a masters in education online with University of Phoenix. Would anyone recommend it? Or should I just stick with the traditional education?

I got my Bachelor’s from University of Phoenix. If I were to continue my education, I would not hesitate to apply at UOP. The online format is extremely flexible around my work and home activities, and the quality of the curriculum is as good as any state school.

If you check out brick and mortar school catalogs, you will find that many offer online classes, so the UOP online is really becoming more “traditional.” Some folks have suggested that UOP is nothing more than a diploma mill, but I can assure you that you will spend many hours in research, discussion, and collaboration. Not every school is perfect, and the UOP system has its flaws, too, but the quality of the education you will receive is well worth the time you spend to get it.

Good luck.

I just graduated from an online program at a private university. First thing to think about is “does the university have accredidation(sorry for the mis-spelling)” if they don’t, the degree you work years for is useless.

Second, you have to realize that even though an online degree sounds easy…. you stay at home, you dont have presentations, etc,,,,,, please remember that you don’t have a live teacher either….. they are extremely hard as you have to teach yourself from the textbook….. I am glad I am finished, but I would 100% suggest you go to the classroom setting.

Hope this helps!
