Online app? Mail in app?

I can’t decide whether i should apply using the common application on line, or mail each school individually an app. Because i’ll have to mail them transcripts and such, but i don’t know whether it is better to do all by snail mail or use the common application online for convenience. I’m scared that they’ll get my online app and never get the supplements or the transcripts or something.

If the school offers an online application, I would use that. Although the schools will not dock you points for using a paper application, they have the online applications there to save time and ensure that the application gets to the right person for processing. With paper applications, there’s always that chance that it may get put into the wrong person’s mail box and will get lost within the University…never to be seen again.

As long as everything that goes in snail mail has your name (and usually your soc. sec. #) on it, it will all get together. Your not sending your transcripts anyway, as they’re only official if they come from the school. Believe me, the schools you’re applying to are used to managing all of these things coming in from different sources. You can, and should, call the admissions office periodically (not every day!) and ask them what materials they’ve received and what they still need. The common application will save you time and in some cases will save you money, so I’d go for it. Good luck!

sure, in spite of if the undemanding App and faculties desire each little thing to be despatched on-line, you will be able to deliver admission varieties by utilising mail. One advice: deliver all of it collectively in one envelope and not for my section – some faculties do in contrast to while they receive admission products one after the different. sturdy success!
