Are you Latina? If so, give it a shot. You’d be an underrepresented minority. Definitely worth taking a shot if you can afford it (if not, ask for fee waivers from those schools).

Of course apply, but don’t rule out public colleges, they can be very good. And look for some scholarships because a private school is very expensive, you didn’t say if that would be an issue or not. My thought would be to apply to a few schools, some private and some public, and then visit those schools so you can make a good choice. See what they have to offer in what you want to do too. If a school doesn’t have what you want to major in, then it may not be the best, even if it is private. Many public schools have very good reputations, but the schools you want to apply for are very tough to get in, but apply anyway, it doesn’t hurt. If one school turns you down, another will surely pick you up! Good Luck!

As long as you’re willing to pay the application fees, it can’t hurt to apply anywhere. Private colleges look like they might be in reach for you if you write a good essay and fit what the school’s looking for. Apply to one or two private schools (or more if you have the money, I guess) but make sure to apply to backup schools as well. And remember, even if you do get accepted, you may not get a lot of financial aid, grants, or scholarships, so you may have a pretty hefty bill to pay. That may end up forcing you to go to a public school anyway. However, you should definitely apply to at least one “reach” school, who knows, maybe they’ll really want you and give you some money to go there. It’s worth a try. Good luck!

Well, NYU is possible. But there are other good schools on the east coast. Wesleyan University (CT), Connecticut College, and Trinity College are all good colleges, just to name a few.

Ya….33 is pretty good. 2250 is pretty good too, I guess.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

If that is all true, you are very intelligent. Why would you not apply? Give yourself more credit.

Although. depending on what you want to be when you’re older, smaller colleges have been shown to provide more effective education for doctors and musicians! (Because more attention is needed).

try workin on ur GPA…its a bit low on the unweighted side (AP classes and honor classes are factored into ur admission process…passing more diffcult and challenging classes leads to a increase chance of admission)

NYU sounds pretty acceptable. Though this implies other things.

Um, yes, if you think you can pay for a private college.
