Need help with college please!?

I’ll be graduating this June and I basically have 2 options on my hands because i did really really bad on my Sophmore year. Sophmore year was one of those years that never went right, and didnt care, but i picked it up. Anyways my gpa should be around 2.0 (yeah thats how bad i did in my Sophmore year) and I basically have 2 options, apply for a junior college/ city college such as PCC or try very very hard on my SAT’s and pray to god a CSU (cal state university) would accept me. I currently am on course to graduate.

The thing that i’ve looked into was that pcc has “TAG”( transfer admission guarentee). I dont know if CSU has any, and i do know that the acceptance rate for PCC is defintiley much higher for transfer students.

Does anybody know if ELAC offers tag and to what school?

what are you guys imput guys? Thanks guys for your imput. It really means alot! Btw, my counselor suggested pcc if i dont want to go to CSULA. thanks again for the imput.

I say go for it! go talk to the admissions people at csu and see how to best present yourself for admission. of course, you could always apply to both, but go csu if you get in!

Start out with going to a community/junior college. The tuition is very low and all you need is to take your general education classes. PCC should have a TAG, guarantee you that you would get into CSU or CSULA and even UCLA as long as you keep up your grades. After you finish your general education classes, then you should transfer to the university you want to get in.

Well it’s not a bad thing going into a junior college. I started that way and do not regret it at all. I am a senior at Governors State University and have saved so much money doing it this way. I do not have no student loans and enjoy the small class sizes. I think you are doing great

I have no idea what you said, however I would suggest you go to a community college and get your Associates Degree and then transfer that degree to a college (not university) that will take your Associates Degree.
