NCLEX?! — What about it?

Please help!..I’m a newly graduate nursing student from the a third world country, and I don’t have my license yet, since the result of our local board here has not yet been released..

Well, since I’m planning to take the State Board Exam, here are my questions:

1) Is it neccessary to really have a license before I’m able to take the NCLEX?

2) What is the process?I’m planning to apply for it on Vermont..what do I have to do?

3) Can you please give me the details?

Thank you!

my wife is in the same situation.

yes, you have to have a license. contact your state nursing board for their regulations. it varies from state to state. you have to contact CGFNS also, they help verify your transcripts, etc.(the fee will be between $400-$1000). fortunately for my wife, she just got a job as a nursing assistant (no certification needed) and they said they will help her with all of that. good luck
