Military to UC?

I’m an average student with around a 3.0 gpa (currently a junior in high school). I’ve taken no honors/AP classes. I’m going to the Army after high school and I want to attend a UC after my service. Will their Tuition Assistance program and the Montgomery GI Bill be enough to get into one, or will I need better grades in high school?

you can always go to a community college first. This will almost guarantee your chances to transferring to a UC school. My coworker did this while in the airforce.

You need to get your grades up as much as possibel anyways–don’t settle on a B average when you can do better.

You will get some assistance too for being in the Military, there are always grants. jobs, job offers, tuition reimbuirsement for Military turning back into civilian life.
