Leaving CSU and going to Community College?

After highschool last year I went straight into a california state university–Big mistake. After a year at this state university I have learned I just don’t like it there, in fact I hate it. From the low expectations of the professors , to the lazy student body, this college just doesn’t feel like college. SO, I have decided I want to go to community college, (something I should have done in the first place ) and transfer to a UC or a private school or at least a better state college.

Despite hating the environtment at the CSU I was going to, I did good got A’s and B’s on all my classes except three that I failed. So heres my question: If I decide to leave this CSU and enroll at a community college, (I will transfer the courses from the state uni to the cc, entirely A’s and B’s except for three F’s), and finishing my second year at this cc in hopes of transferring to a UC or a private school, will those three bad grades affect me? It’s worth trying right?

Well, when you transfer your GPA starts over. If you don’t need the classes from CSU you could just use the transcripts from the community college to get into a better school. The longer you stay at the community college or other school the less the grades from CSU will matter. Or some schools have grade forgiveness where you can retake the classes that you failed and when you do this the grade gets replaced with a new grade.

no longer something is erroneous with a community college. the only ingredient i might say is that in case you desire to flow to a 4-year college upon of completion of your affiliate’s degree, you will desire to be certain an consultant at that college and make beneficial that the classes you need to take will flow. that’s extremely important. some community faculties have agreements with community universities such that your total affiliate’s degree will flow and you will initiate on the 4-year college as a junior. basically confirm you already know those issues ahead. in case you do no longer intend to proceed to a 4-year college, I even have widespread some people who make very reliable wages with basically an affiliate’s degree, particularly Nurses and Technicians. If no longer the rest, 2 years of school seems lots greater perfect on a resume than none.
