Is this true?

If i were a registered nurse who took the licensure exam after graduating in community college with an associates degree in nursing, and decided to transfer to transfer to a university to study for a BSN, will i get to skip over the RN training and studies, and have a chance to graduate within 2-3 years in the university?

It all depends on which school you are looking to transfer to, and what state you are looking to do it in. I worked at a private school (in admission) that had a huge nursing program. Students took a variety of paths to get to our program – entering as first year students, transferring in with an AA, and some who had nursing AA degrees and wanted to work towards a BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing). If your ultimate goal is the BSN, in most cases you will NOT want to earn the AA in nursing, but rather in the necessary transfer degree (find out if your state has a “direct transfer agreement” degree). This will be the best preparation to get in to a BSN program and will make sure that you have only 2 or 3 years more of study.

The best source for information is going to be the schools you are hoping to apply to for the BSN.

IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE COLLEGES POLICY….EACH IS DIFFERENT BUT YOU CAN INCREASE YOUR CHANCES IF YOU APPLY TO A STATE UNIVERSITY AS THEY ARE OFTEN PART OF THE SAME SYSTEM AS THE COMMUNITY COLLEGES
