MY THESIS:

“1776” describes how our forefathers weren’t as great as everyone makes them out to be by their lack of discipline, lack of experience, and lack of making clear decisions that made them lose most of all the battles during the Revolutionary War.

I haven’t read the book, but it is a good concept to start with if it is correct with the book’s arguement. I would perhaps re-word it something like this:

“The novel ‘1776’ suggests that our forefathers of the Revolutionary War had a greater lack of experience and discipline than history has led us to believe, causing many unnecessary defeats in battle.”

umm ok well i didnt read the book so i cant comment as if it were right or wrong….but i kno you cant use contractions (so instead of werent its were not) and i think it sounds a little too slang try this:

1776 describes our forefathers and their lack of of discipline, experence, and their inability to make clear decisions, which caused them to lose many battles of the R.W.

In academic writing you do not use contractions. You are doing a book review as your thesis?

No, you actually must not have read the book, because you are completely wrong. 1776 demonstrates how great the fathers of our country were because they were able to overcome what was impossible.

I think you might need to reread parts of the book. But if you have, and that’s your opinion in your thesis, then you just need to work on your thesis structure. its a very beginner-amature thesis. you must ALWAYS include the authors name. btw.
