If this Freshman is thinking about joining a military service when he graduates, it is an excellent idea. When you graduate you will enter whichever service you choose as an officer so you won’t have to start at the bottom. I personally know men who did ROTC, joined the service and used them to become a doctor. They then had to give that service the 6 years back but it was a way for them to have the profession they wanted when they didn’t have the money for the education. Of course in this day in age, I would certainly consider that the USA will probably be at war somewhere in the middle east.

that depends. are you the military type? or are you planning to pursue a career with the military and enjoy the benefits of the GI Bill? if yes, sign up.

if not, it may just be a passing fancy of yours. in which case, forget it. you may be getting into something more than you can handle.

why not???? i had some friends take it in my freshmen year..they did fine. (this is high-school i’m talking about)
