Is it true that NYU is more selective than Cornell?

I know Cornell is Ivy, but I heard from some people that NYU is harder to get into.

Cornell’s more competitive for undergrad. There are individual programs at NYU that are more selective than individual programs at Cornell, though (like their law schools.)

There are non-Ivies that are more selective than some Ivies for undergrad, though. Stanford comes to mind, as does MIT.

thats not completely true, colleges look for different things. Depends on your ethnicity, your gpa, your community service, your family background, classes you take, but for a minorty cornell is easier to get into nd ive seen a kid with a 94 gpa get in but cornell was more selective so im gunana go with cornell but nyu still requires alot just try your best and hope you get accepted to both lol

Nah, Cornell’s more selective. Both are excellent, highly competitive schools and you can get a great education at either.
