Is it true that if you take four years of a language in high school you dont have to repeat it in college?

To the best of my knowledge, they don’t take a test; I guess the deciding factor is that if they are sitting in that Spanish II class and don’t have a clue what’s going on, they will have to drop the course or fail it, so the idea of getting credit for Spanish I without having to take it is moot if they can’t do the work.

It will depend on a couple of factors:
You need to test out of the language courses, but you must not be bilingual due to heritage. Students from bilingual homes are not exempt from foreign language study; they study another language.
So you may get out of it if you test well enough (or at least get out of the lower level courses), but there is no guarantee.
you would have to taket he Ap test to show that you are up to a certain level. then you wn’t have to repeat the class again.
