For a UC or CSU, it shouldn’t be a problem. They may ask you why you got the Ds, and you will need to be able to explain why.

If you can, take the classes over, or take them at a local community college/junior college. That way you can earn more credits, and get a better grade to replace your Ds

What these people look at?

The final semester grade, sometimes GPA and SAT score.

If you apply before the deadline, ahead of time your chances are better than average, than the school Top Ten Students with a GPA 3.5+ just because ”early birdie”’

“”FINAL MEASURE:””

The final semester of your high school, get your final transcript sealed in envelop even without diploma, even before graduation ceremony. Even without SAT/ACT score results. Drive up to the nearest 2 year California college pay in cash and enroll “”early bird”” same day even fax from the school. Get the SAT/ACT score later, talk to the counselor once a semester.

Review the entry-level exams in math, english. Ask whats covered, sample exam, … review it over the summer 2 weeks or 3 days before.

Watch out for Department of Physics, also offers your major in Chemistry. Thats not a good school, more physics than real Chemistry.

Watch out for Department Head of Engineering is Masters in Physics but the AA in Engineering Teacher Aide is the better teacher.

Watch out for ”impacted – your not good enough” but behind the doors: the building is not built, but in 5 years it will start. Means you never sat in a real class for your major.

Look for cost of living such as lunch, bath, tv, radio, clothes, safety, 24×7 bathroom rights vs. ”stay at home”.

“stay at home” means more distractions from family, and pressure to get a job.

3.3 isn’t bad because it is a solid B, but then universities will have to compare you and you will have a low chance of entering university like TCU. Maybe if you get a 5 or something, then every university will call you to come to their school. So it’s not bad, but you can do wayyy better to enter TCU!

If your grades have consistently gone up since those d’s it’s not a big problem.
