IGETC foreign language help!?

Hi. I have scored 790 on sat 2 korean when I was in highschool.

1. Can I use this to meet the foreign language requirements in IGETC?

2. I was thinking of taking Japanese. If I use #1 to meet the requirements in IGETC, will the credit acquired by taking this class be counted in the 60 units that I need to complete before I transfer? by the way, it is in the uc approved course lists.

Yes it will. You need a minimum of a 500 to get credit for the foreign language on the SAT II.

oftentimes, faculties say it extremely is “counseled” to have 2 years of a distant places language. I have no thought why. i’m optimistic in case you do no longer take 2, although, it is going to likely be fantastic. maximum faculties truly won’t care. you will finally end up probably taking a distant places language direction in college, so in line with threat they only pick you to be arranged for that. To be on the risk-free factor, in spite of the undeniable fact that, i might examine with your potential college just to make optimistic!
