If more time is given you may actually get a worse score believe it or not.

You might second guess yourself too much and go back and change answers and other things.

According to my brother who just took them, he thinks he would’ve gotten a better score with more time. He’s the type that likes to take his time and think each question through. But, it is how it is and many times in college, the exams have a time limit, so I guess it is good practice. If you need to, try taking it again and get some old tests to practice with, so you are ready to do your best!

well people given more time usually have some type of learning disability or concentration disorder.

If you normally would do worse because of running out of time, then of course more time will help. If you get questions wrong because you just aren’t smart enough, then even if you had 10 years you might never get a math problem correctly that you have no idea how to do.

i would doubt it. the test is already long as it is. If you really want to do better on the SATs. take it three times. Each time you take the exam, only focus on one particular section; math, verbal, and writing. There is no rule saying that you have to actually complete the entire exam. You only get graded on what you completed. For some, my suggestion may work (if you’re bad at long exams).

I think so.. because we only had 20 minutes for each section.. I felt SO rushed the whole time and i’m great at math, but didnt have time to answer almost half the questions.. It was bull.
