As someone who has been involved in higher academics for nearly 10 years, perhaps I can assist you. Here are some programs that will certainly benefit you when it comes to the practice of surgery:

Advanced Anatomy & Physiology

Immunology

Pathology

Biochemistry

Cell Biology

Pediatrics

Anesthesiology or Neurosurgery

These are areas that surgeons study, particularly at the graduate level, but also at the undergraduate level if offered. Good luck!

Easy question to answer! You simply choose “pre-med” as your major. The goal is to get into medical school. You need to be a doctor first before you specialize in a certain field, such as, neurosurgery.

If your school does not have a “pre-med” major, then you need to focus on the sciences. Calculus, Chemistry, Organic Cemistry, Biology, and Physics.

I would also add Latin and Greek as electives.
