i would love to be a CIA agent, or an FBI agent?

even though i am only 16, i do have high expectations for myself…freshman year i did very poorly in school, last year i managed to get my average up to a 2.5 gpa from an F average, i know it was pretty bad.. the reason why was because i stopped taking my concerta, badd idea because i have ADHD. the three years i was off it i also did poorly my 7th and 8th grade year, i was in the resource room all through grade school. i don’t know if they exactly look at my high school record.. i was also diagnosed with bipolar disorder(hypomanic, not severe manic..) and anxiety problems. would they still accept me if since i have mental illnesses? i’m not incredibly unstable, everything is calming down now.

does anyone know what kind of college courses i should look at, what kind of degree i would need?

I wouldn’t anticipate this career, with out A LOT of work. A 2.5GPA is still a very bad grade, sorry.

You are going to need at-least a 4.0GPA to get into a good college. Take classes in law enforcement, be in good physically endurance, I would say you’d need atleast a Bachelor or Masters degree to be in either of these.

The better your mind is, the better you’d investigate. Keep in mind, you won’t be hired right to a fun job, you may have to work in an office for a few years before you ever see real action.

Have good Science, and Math skills. Be physically well. Have from 4-8 years of college, with extra courses designed just for these agents. Be good with geography, and decision making. Learn to use weapons.

I hope this helps, and good luck.

You can’t bring your cummulative to a 4.0 once it’s below that level. But you don’t need a 4.0 to get into a good college.

The other issues are much more problematic.

I would say that it seems unlikely that they will take you if you still suffer from bipolar disorder and anxiety problems when you apply.

Your cumulative GPA is your GPA from all of your career at the school averaged out. If you had a 3.0, 3.0, 4.0, and 4.0 (assuming equal number of credits each year), you would have a 3.5. Once you are below a 4.0, the only way to get to that mark is if

1) They round up or

2) They have classes which are worth more than 4.0.
