I worked as a night desk clerk at a hotel when I was in college, and it really worked out well. A lot of the time is just “waiting” time, and I was able to get a lot of reading and other work done.

I had a friend who worked the night shift as a security guard, and he was able to get a lot of work done, too. (He’d have to make rounds every hour, but the rest of the time was just sitting at a desk in front of the main doorway.)

The main thing is that…if you’re going to work full-time…you almost have to find a job at which you’ve got some free time to get some college work done, too.

Good luck!

There aren’t any good jobs for college students. They all suck. I worked at Best Buy which was a nightmare, a dry cleaners, a Chinese place. However, this year I got lucky and got a part time data entry job where my sister works. You have good hours for a part-time evening job, but I’m sure you would have to work weekends too. Just check your local classifieds.

I used to work graveyard shift for about 3 years from 10pm to 6am. Its something you have to get used to but its better than the afternoon because you have the whole day to take care of things and plus you should get a dollar extra for being a graveyard shift. 3pm to 11pm i no fun.

Can you just explain to your employer that you would like to keep your employment, but since you are going to college you would like to have a schedule that would allow you to sleep and study as well as work. Retail is about the most flexible position out there for students.

Since your class schedule is the way that it is, explain to your employer that you need to change your schedule. If he’s unwilling, find another employer. Many are willing to work around the schedule of a college student.

That’s a tough schedule. You definitely need another job. Try your local paper as well as career services at your school. Sometimes local employers contact them looking for part-time college employees, full or part-time interns, etc. It’s worth a shot. Also, look for on-campus jobs.

Presently, your adversary is laughing at you.Just hang in there

continue to work, stay in school. If your life is very stressful.TAKE

one less class only to be less weary.Unless you must have a certain amount of credits to advance. Not because you are trying

to graduate early. You need proper rest in order to retain that in which you are learning. It may take longer but you would not be

spreading yourself so thin.

My brother worked the night auditor position at a hotel while in grad school. It was great for him – after he ran all of the reports he could work on his schoolwork.

When I was in college, most of us worked at a telemarketing firm. The hours are flexible and you get paid bonuses.
