I want to go into some sort of medicine…?
I’m a freshman in college, and would really like to get into dental or medical school. I’m not sure if I could handle it, though. I am bright, but I’ve never taken any courses like organic chem or physics. How can I start to see if I can handle it?

Head over to the bio dept and try to find the pre-med advisor to find out which courses you should be taking. Warning: most courses come in two parts, and are only taught once a year, so you might be behind already. So do this early. You’ll need a year of physics, usually a year of calculus, and several years of bio and chem. Good luck!

Do what I did. Just sign up for a class and if you don’t like it drop it after a bit. I was a nursing major last year and I found I hated it! I am a anthropology/sociocultural studies major now! Who would have known? Honestly the best thing to do is to just try it out.
