basically you want to be a doctor. You need to take calculus in High school and advanced chemistry and other classes. Once you graduate, you need to do pre-med courses. You have to get a Bachelors and take Mcat before applying to medical schools. Also, you need to start doing volunteer work and extra curricular activities which show leadership skills. After getting in to medical school, you will spend 4 years there and 4 more years doing your residency.

so count that…4 years of bachelors+ 4 years of medical school+ 4 years of residency.
