Hufflepuff got it right. Kevin C got it wrong.

You don’t need your bachelors, altho it helps. Technically, you just need the minimum prerequisite courses. It usually can be done in 2 yrs.

You have to get your PharmD in America now. Not an option anymore like in the past. Altho it can be 3 or 4 yrs depending on if the school is year round or not.

The quickest way to get your pharmacy degree in America is through University of the Pacific’s 5 year program, however this program is very competitive. There are other schools that do offer 0-6 year programs with at least 3 years of pharmacy school education!

Check out my site for more info on getting into pharmacy school!

6-8. If you get an undergraduate degree first, then you will spend 4 years in pharmacy school. If you don’t get your undergraduate degree first, you can potentially take 2 years worth of courses (which will be your prerequisites to get into Pharmacy school, mostly) at a university and then go to pharmacy school for 4 years. That’s how it works in the US.

you need a bachelor’s degree (4 years) then

pharm school (3-4 years) depending on if you get your pharmD (doctorate in pharm) which adds on time.
