I sent an appeal to UC San Diego and am wondering when will I know their answer? Also what are my chances?

I was rejected for two reasons. 1) D in Physics 2) Two misreported grades. I went back to my teachers and spoke to them. My grades are supposed to be a C in Physics and a B in English but the transcript reads D in Physics, C in AP Literature. They did not add my last assignments giving different grades than what I imputed. Also, while doing the application I experienced difficulties. It would not allow me to continue unless I inputed my first semester senior year grades. These teachers sent letters along with my appeal but they could not change the transcript because it has been almost a year. The reason I did not handle this issue earlier is because I did not know about it. I was concentrated on studying for Academic Decathlon. I sent the awards I won in the appeal. The gold I received in “Interview” and the bronze I earned for the “Speech” portion. Also the honorable mention in “Literature.” The teachers said they could not change the grades but I am capable: higher grades 2nd sem.

You should be able to apply for the Spring Semester if you decided to take a semster off. Of course, you have no chance of getting into the fall semester for 2007.

is this for the fall? cz then you’re pretty much screwed. I dont think those grades affected your chances of admission that much. since UCs go by a point system so its fair for everyone. Only when you’re borderline will your essays be the determinant factor. I used to have a chart to compute points for admission to UCSD…but i dont ahve the site xD

i have the paper tho.

and shouldnt they answer your appeal letter by now already? bc my friend appealed to another UC and got her answer like in may. i also know people who won their appeals and are going to attend school this fall.

If I understand you correctly, you have already graduated high school and you are waiting to start college, is that right? I won’t ask you why you waited so long but UCSD starts on Monday as well as other UCs (except Berkeley).

I don’t know when you submitted your appeal but you should have heard back from them a long before school is to begin. You should contact UCSD admissions ASAP and they should give you a better idea.
