I need help from anyone that knows about journalism?
Okay, I am currently attending a community college for transfer classes. I know that I want to go into the medical field or become a journalist. I think that I’m leaning more towards the journalism side. What should I take into consideration when becoming a journalist and what steps can I take to get a degree in journalism.

Don’t get a degree in journalism unless you are willing to slave away for low pay.
NY Times pays good but it takes years to get a job there and you have to live in NY.
Why not combine the two. You love to write and you are good at it. Your writing, if you want journalism is very logical.
Get a CC certificate in Medical Transcription with a Major in Journalism if you want. The medical field outlook for jobs is great for the next eon and with a degree in Journalism, you can work in the medical field for which you are certified while you look for a paying job at a newspaper.
