I’m miserable. I want to be a doctor but I;m horrible at math?

I’d like to be a surgeron, but I suck at math. I’m currently taking Algebra II honors, I am in grade 10 and Chemistry I Honors. I got mostly A’s in Biology but I’m a B student in Math a very low B. I feel so bad because even though I try so hard in math, I still get horrible grades, and I know I have to be really good in math. there is nothing else, I want in my life than to become a doctor, and I feel a lack in my confidence when it comes to math and it’s making me doubt my future. As a result, of this I did horrible in the first semester of Chemistry when were dealing with math.

Math skills are vital to all of the classes involved in pre-med. You will need to take a lot of chemistry along with all the biology. There is math in biology too. I would seriously look at getting some tutoring or other help in math. Otherwise you might look for related fields that require less math.

Would you want a doctor with weak math skills figuring out the dosage for your medicine?

I believe songbird – each at the trial interval and on Celiac disorder. Both my son and I have it, and his signs (and tousled immune approach) are such a lot like your it isn’t even humorous. It’s dealt with by means of doing away with gluten out of your vitamin, which is not virtually as difficult because it sounds – we made our condo gluten loose in below every week, and he is medication good. (He’s been gluten loose for three weeks now, and is practically utterly feeling greater.) Since the semester is practically over, ask her for an ordeal interval for the following few months. You too can check out doing away with gluten out of your vitamin while (that’s a entire lot less difficult to do at dwelling than at institution) and notice if it makes a change. (Note – you do must have the biopsy to be technically, conclusively identified with Celiac, however you’ll paintings via vitamin removal as good. My son’s pediatric GI – the one one on the town – is not good trained on Celiac and refused to do the biopsy, so his pediatrician is operating via vitamin removal and monitoring his signs to diagnose. It’s now not as invasive, and whilst vitamin removal may not supply you one hundred% prognosis, it may be plenty less difficult to paintings with.)
