You can help yourself get your new employer to overlook a lesser GPA by pimping your resume a bit. What jobs have you had and how are they relevant to the job to which you are applying? What civic organizations have you belonged to and how is that relevant? Do you volunteer? Belong to any business clubs? What is your internship and how does that relate to the job you are applying for? Can you continue to work for the internship company?
Look carefully at what you have done and learned in the past and compare that to the job you are applying to. List a few and their relevance in your resume. Tailor each resume to the job you are applying to.
Once you have had a job for a couple of years, the fact that you graduated is all your employer will care about. They will be more concerned with your employment history and how you fit into the job you are applying for.
The best jobs come from networking, so learn where you can meet and rub elbows with the people in your industry and go to those places so they can get to know you personally.
