Hi, I think it would be much more beneficial for you to ask your question to your advisors at school. They are the ones who know the school policy on matters like this, each school is different. We do not know anything, apart from how our own schools are run. I hope you get this sorted out soon! Good luck!

It’s okay if you have 1 or 2. If you have more than you have to meet with a counselor for adding more classes. you may be on academic probation if there are 3 or more. Yes and they do stay on your record.

It’s not an asset but it’s not terrible by any means; it won’t affect your grade point average and few colleges are going to care about it. If you had a whole bunch of w’s though (like I do), that could be problematic as it shows that you can’t handle your course load.

As far as I know, if you missed the date to drop w/a “w”, the professor will be forced to give you a grade for that class. And since you’re not attending for the rest of the term, it will probably not be a good one.

One or two W’s wont affect you at all. It’s when there’s some kind of pattern of W’s on one’s transcript does it raise questions to an admissions board of a graduate program.

You’ll recieve an F in that class, but don’t worry it won’t afect your GPA the first time around and you re-take that class.

it means you cannot get a w as a grade. you will get a grade like F or D and it counts against your grade point average. a grade of w does not hurt your grade point average

It will hurt you if you apply to graduate school. you have to attach an addendum when you apply to grad school if you have a “W”.

If it’s after the withdrawal date, you’re busted. “F”.
