Dont worry too much. There are very few people who finish high school and know exactly what they want to do for the next 50 odd years. Step 1 TALK with your parents about it. I’m sure they would want to know your concerns.

As for your options, you can take a gap year and travel or volunteer, you can begin a generalist degree (don’t know where you are, but in Australia they are called a Bachelor of Arts). Also speak to your school counsellor, careers advisor, or a teacher you trust.

And trust me, you are not unusual, I am 21 and have just started uni and although I know what field I want to get into I don’t know what I want to do when I finish. Also, realise that people change careers on average 3 times in their life these days. Good Luck with everything!

If you don’t know what to do in the near of distant future. University is the best place to be. It will give you ideas and options of things you might not even be aware of. As well, University will open doors you will need to achieve your goals whatever they may be. That’s just my two cents.

In terms of what to take, start with a Liberal Arts it will allow you to “taste” everything. Then during your 2nd year you can focus or not. I took PolSc in Uni and i ended up a Director in the tech department of a major bank. Uni gives you the skills and discipline you need to succeed in the work place. If you so choose to do that in the future.

My advice? Take some time off from school. Don’t start right after you graduate. Take at least a semester off (a year if you can do it and stay on your parents insurance). This’ll give you some time to sort things out, experience life in the real world, and give you a chance to explore your non college options. Then, you’ll at least know if you want to go, even if you don’t know what major you want. Go in as undeclared, take your gen ed requirements, and see what seems like the most fun for you.

ive been talking to a lot of people about that same exact problem.

talk to your school counselors, your friends, your parents- anyone who knows you well enough or is educated in certain areas enough to give advice and direction.

by secondary school i assume you mean highschool. if so… try attending a local JC for a few semesters and just getting your basic pre-reqs. English101, Mathematics101 etc. itl be cheaper and expose you to a lot of different things. and youll have better counseling & guidance towards whatever field you do end up wanting to go into.

good luck! try not to worry too much. take the basic classes first.

Following are some topics, select one, think about it and decide:

1- Advertising

2-Marketing

3-Administration &management

4-Information Technology

5-Engineering branches (Civil, Architect, Mechanical, Electrical,Planing, Petroleum, Chemical, Industrial, Medical equipment, etc.)

5- Medical branches

6-Arts

7-Languages

8-Politics & Economy

9- Tourism

10- Hotels management

There are many other subjects to study, to start you should ask yourself seriously what you like to do, there must be something you prefer to do than anything else and there where you should go.

u should do things which are connection with your hobby, very often young people choose studies which are against their hobby, in every job u can earn a lot, but if u are good in it
