Medical School Question?
I’ve heard some areas in the country pay for Medical School in return for residency after graduation. What is this called? and is there a list of cities that do this?

Not for residencies but when you finish your residency you must promise to come and practice in a community (usually rural) for a period of years.

Many of those situations are for rural areas that have trouble attracting doctors. They tend to seek people going into family medicine… be careful cuz if you make the commitment and decide you are interested in another field it might not be an option. I would think it was just called work exchange

The NHSC provides scholarships and tuition reimbursement plans in exchange for a proscribed contract to practice in needy areas. It’s certainly worth exploring.

You have to contact hospitals for this. I know St. Josephs hospital in orange does this. I am getting my nursing this way.
