You don’t need a’s just a good pass is something to aim for. Concentrate during class so that some of the work is absorbed easier. Spend time doing more homework than is required. If you don’t understand research until it becomes clearer. Take more of an interest in the food you consume so that your diet is healthy. Exercise more so that you become fitter and capable. Last but not least make sure you are getting enough sleep so that you can concentrate. Communicate with family members as they would be more than happy to help. Set a limit on TV viewing or on using the computer. Constantly look at ways to improve so good luck and go to it ( a very inspiring motivation book I was reading advised “put down the book and start doing now” however I just succeeded in losing my place but I am improving even just a little is good !

You don’t need to study harder; you need to study better. There is a difference.

First, you need to pay attention to details. For example, you put this question in the Higher Education (University +) category when it doesn’t belong there. I’m not being snarky–being able to pay attention to details and note differences and all that is a huge part of doing well in school. If you don’t notice the differences and details, you won’t be able to self correct things like “thankyou” (which should be “thank you”). When you pay attention to things, you see how they should be, but you also have your brain working more with the available information, which helps learning.

Second, I’d recommend you get the book “What Smart Students Know”. It’ll guide you through a process of approaching school in a good way which will help you learn more.

I always find it helpful to schedule. I’d allocate a certain time per day for a certain subject. For example, monday you may want to revise Mathematics for 30 minutes at 8:00, tuesday you may want to revise science at 8:00, etc. Just set a time, that’s all I can recommend to you really. Oh, and if you find that you just sit there for hours doing nothing (because of all the distractions) go to the library or revise with a friend. When you’ve invited a friend, they’ll have the purpose in mind, meaning that you won’t be tempted to mess about.

As for Glurpy, “thankyou” is a single word in the United Kingdom- meaning that if he DOES live there, he won’t have access to the book you just recommended. Just to point out.
