How to face some of my Family friends who really showing off about having Permanent Residence in Australia!!?
I’m a International Uni Student who studying my last semester,for my Bachelors,problem is I have to visit some of family friends of my dad and they invited me to have a dinner with him,they always kind of showing off and talking about finding government jobs,and their Citizen ship,cause I don’t have a Job yet (Cause I’m really concentrate about my studies)and they know I’m struggling to settle down with a good job,and having problems with settling down in Australia,I’m confuse about avoiding the invitation leave it or take it,and how to respond to their attitude,Can some one please give me some opinion please !!

well, you can either go and refuse to be drawn into the “I’m better than you are” crud. Or you can go and rise above it all and as the old saying goes Kill’em with kindness or baffle them with bull***t. Or you can just politely refuse the invitation using your concentration on your present studies. Don’t let others drive you nuts. You are giving this person power over you that he doesn’t deserve. There are “know it all’s everywhere and you will run into them in your life. You can either suffer or deal with them. You have to choose.
