For Missouri it is fine – but it doesn’t make the top 40 nationally.

The ranking of medical schools in the US involves topics that have nothing to do with the education received at the school. For this reason, numerous medical schools are requesting to be left out of the next year’s review, as they think the ranking is irrelevant. Some of the ‘ranking topics’ include number of parking spaces, number of books in the library and nonsense like that.
All US med schools have to be accredited by the LCME. Each graduate has to take the same exam (The USMLE) and there really isn’t much of a difference between the pass rates between one US school and another.
The bottom line is that if you get accepted at a US med school you’re going to receive a top notch education.
