It’s designed to be done in 4 years, usually. Most people in college take a little more time to finish up, though. $ 1/2 or 5 years.

Four years for an undergraduate degree in psychology gets you a BA in that discipline and nothing more. You cannot work as a psychologist or clinician. If you are interested in pursuing a clinical certification to be a counselor, you will need at least a Master’s Degree, which will require another 2 years to accomplish. To be a research or clinical psychologist, you will need to complete a Pd.D., which requires at least 2 years, possibly more depending on intended areas of study, discipline focus and so on.

I have a BA in Psychology and Sociology. It isn’t worth the paper it is printed on except for the value it has as a completed college degree. For that, I could have had a BA in Basket Weaving, too. In time, the BA or BS will have the same role as the high school diploma once did: without one, you’re doomed to a life less financially rewarding.

all bachelor’s degrees take 4 yrs, assuming of course that you go full time for all 4. it took me 6 yrs to get mine cause I went part-time while I worked full-time for the 1st couple yrs
