How many times can you retake a course in college required for your major?
I am a current student at USC (Carolina) and I was curious if anyone knew how many times you could retake a class? I have taken a class required for my major twice and both times I have failed it. Wondering if anyone knew if I had one more shot at it.

In most universities you can take the class that you failed as many time as you like. However as long as your gpa meets a certain minimum depending on the college you can still be in the University. So as long as you keep your gpa up its fine, likewise you have to remember that employers aren’t to keen of you failing that class numerous times because they will not only look at the degree but also your transcripts.
My advice is to try get a teacher that you like and have some tutoring done to finish the class. If you think that the class is unpasable try a Community College or if you just started your major classes then pick another major that your good at. Good Luck.

In my college you can take it max of three times, it depends on university policy check your department student handbook or talk to an advisor, better still take an evening class or continuing education class equivalent to that course they are easier then day classes
