How many southerners go to NC state?
I was looking up colleges to go to and so far NC State is at the top of my list.
But I noticed that they said theres a cap on out of state people they take.
I live in NC, but how big is that cap, beacuse I would hate to go to a school thats full of Southern people.

I would, too. That’s why I went to college exclusively in my home state of Washington.

Well, you are SOL then. Since NC State is a state institution they are required by law to keep a certain percentage of their student body as instate residents to maintain the funding they receive from the state.
State schools are always overwhelmingly full of in-state residents no matter where you go. It is an incentive to keep the funding they receive.

It doesn’t really matter where someone is from. Nowadays everybody from the South acts like everyone else in America especially the people from the cities and suburbs. It’s some of the rural people who most don’t seem to like and they usually go to small town liberal arts colleges not big colleges like NC State.

i heard ppl down south are generally not accepting of northerners. ie south carolina. u already lost the war, although most wish u hadnt, so stop taking it out on us.
