You’ll have to get a bachelors degree, which is four years, and then another four years to get the veterinary degree. So thats 8 in total after you’ve finished high school. The following two websites are great resources for people interesting in becoming a vet.

Usually a four-year bachelors program. If prerequisites are not finished in the four years, the vet school usually requires another year to finish those before being admitted.
