Unless you are looking to play in college sports, it isn’t that big of a deal. It helps, certainly. But any extracurricular activity helps.

If your grades or SAT scores aren’t great, sports and volunteering give your application more substance. But if you don’t want to play sports, it won’t negatively affect your chances of acceptance.

Hi, The important thing is to be involved in something, not only sports. You can make an impression on college admissions by showing involvement in any number of activities in your school and in your town or city as well. I know a girl who was a leader in forensics (debate) and a volunteer at the hospital too. No matter what you do, just ask leaders in those organizations who know you to write a letter of recommendation for you. You might also include references to these activities in an essay you have to write. If you are involved in sports, then that’s great, but it isn’t the only way to impress admissions boards. Good Luck!!

enjoying activities is utilising effective, yet easily no longer recommended. you’re able to do exactly what you’re doing now, and get into college. My superb suggestion could be to do what you do superb, and placed that for the duration of your resume. faculties do no longer assume everybody to be dazzling at activities. in case you do want a “sport”, connect Marching Band, enjoying piano or front ensemble. definite you are able to play piano in marching band, many times talked approximately as a “Synthesizer” or “synth”. Ask your faculties band director for added info!

Not. Unless you are wanting a sports scholarship, it makes absolutely no difference.
