First read the assignment. Rite in your notebook for that subject an outline. Review what you have done.
Second Day–review the first assignment. Press on and RRR the second days assignment…
Third Day—Review the first assignment—review the second assignment. Press on and RRR the third assignment.
Real techinical information will require more intense study.
By the time you RRR the tenth assignment—you will have reviewed the first assignment 10 times.
Do this for all your classes and have a notebook for each subject. Make sure you buy your favorite pens–you will use the up. Please do not ever mark in yellow or pink in a text book… This is not to punish you. You are a normal kid and you will probable have to work harder to achieve your goals. Your having trouble getting one “A’s”. Think about getting all “A” as a goal. The problem is that no one has ever told you how to study. Remember your at school to learn—that is you job. Just like when dad goes to work to support the family. Looks like a lot of work and sweat—not much time for Playing on the computer and being on the phone.
I have a problem—that is what you said. I wrote the solution and I care if you get better grades. Your friends do not. If you show your friends the solution they will laff, tell you that it is too much work. What is the goal or profession—7 & 11 Store clerk or Nurse– Dog Doctor– Naval Academy Graduate Fighter Pilot. Wal Mart executive— It takes college degrees and that is the rule. Best years are coming.
Lectures are usually an outline of the book so study your lecture notes that correlate with the book info. The best way to study is review what you’ve learned after every class. Break it up into sections and use flashcards. Make sure your flash cards are limited to a sentence or two for each term. If it’s more than 2 sentences you need a new card.
Do not cram, just study after every class so when you study for the exam you’ll only need to refresh your memory a bit. good luck
It works the same way a smell can remind you of grandma (or who ever else) because it smells like her house. It is another sensory level association with other memories. It should work with any other flavor like a particular flavor gum.
I guess this improves your recall ability, not your memory, but it still sounds like it’s worth a try!
