How do you know that once you get a degree from a state college you will have success?

I’m asking this because I’m getting older and my bacherlors degree seems still pretty far. I need a year and a half at least to obtain my degree. If I don’t stray to far from my plan then I will be 25 by the time I get it.

You’re so young! Finish, for goodness sake! Nobody can promise you success, but if you don’t get it you may be looking at a McDonald’s job for the rest of your life- or realizing your mistake at 45 and having to do it then.

You didn’t say what you want to do. How successful you are depends on how hard you work, whether you really know your field, how much effort you put in. But, doing this degree will be a great success in and of itself.

Twenty-five is nothing. At state colleges around here, the average age for undergraduate students is 27. Many people go back to school at much greater ages than that.

There is no guarantee that you will have success. The degree is not a magic bullet which will bring you fame and fortune. Presumably by the time you graduate you will know something, and that will help you be more qualified for a variety of jobs out there. The rest is still up to you.

There is no guarantee. A college education will give you a better chance at success in life and your career, but there’s never any guarantee there. You just have to try your best and do what you can to give yourself a better chance of success.

As for grading at 25, that’s nothing terribly unusual. There are plenty of people out there that started college late, worked their way through school, are returning for their degree, or a slew of other reasons. Graduating at 25 years old is nothing to worry about or to be ashamed of.
