How do you become a community college professor?

Does it involve as many steps as becoming a 4 year university professor (i.e. a Ph. d)? Do their salaries go up the longer they teach?

My daughter is a community college teacher and she has two undergraduate degrees – a B. Sc in math and computer science and a teaching degree. As a community college teacher she is required to work towards a masters degree over the next four years. Her salary will go up with more experience and with more education. The rules probably vary, depending on the state/province and the college.

It depends on the community college, and the specific area you’re teaching. I would think you’d need at least a bachelor’s at any school, with most requiring a master’s.
