How do the Ivy League universities rank amongst each other?

I know they area all great schools, but amongst each other, how do they rank? I’d imagine that Harvard, Yale, or Princeton would battle for the top spot, but what about the others (i.e. Cornell, Brown, etc.)

I believe Princeton is currently considered the best, followed by Harvard, then Yale. Then UPenn or Columbia, Dartmouth, Cornell, and Brown is last.

Listed below is a listing of college rankings by US News & World Report. They do this every year.

However, these rankings are not indicative of how the school is per subject matter. You can look into more details about how each school ranks by subject and other criteria. Princeton might be better in physics but Harvard might be better in business.

You say you have been on the student council, but you did not express a leadership role. If you don’t have such a position, either look for one, or drop the club. In fact, drop all of them except for the science club and creative writing club (since you hold definite positions). Admissions officers value quality over quantity. Ask yourself: In what ways can I prove these extracurricular activities for my classmates and, consequently, freshman and sophomores? Also, in what ways can I make these committees more innovative? Attempt to publish more poems through the creative arts club and beyond (i.e local newspaper, literary magazines). Then, find ways to incorporate your future interests with the extracurricular activities. Oh, and do remain in NHS and French NHS…but mention them only after the Mayor Youth Commission. After all…who isn’t in NHS? As far as your employment opportunity, try to keep it for over a year. Perhaps you can ask your employer for a letter of recommendation, and apply for any company-related scholarships. The summit will be filled with many kids like you, so keep in mind that you have to perform twice as harder if you’d like to stand out (most summer camps end with evaluations). Constantly network and collect business cards from adults whose interests are aligned with yours. Perhaps you can find a mentor or two who you can stay in touch with throughout your undergraduate career. Your grades are superb! Good luck!
