How can you stay in shape once you’ve started uni (US-college)?

Hello all!

As a new University student, I thought I’d start this post for the sake of all the other thousands of students around the world who put on piles of weight when they start Uni!

How do you stay in shape with so little money, such cheap drinks, etc?

Please don’t answer silly comments like ‘don’t eat, don’t drink, work out etc’ ~ millions of sexy students depend on your words of wisdom!!

How did you do it or did you totally fail lol!

The biggest pitfall is the general laziness once you hit college. If you utilize all of the spare time you have as a student, it should not be difficult to achieve any goals.

It’s the little things that add up, walk to classes whenever possible. Make sure you eat 3 meals, drink water when available…etc.

Well, for me, it was pretty easy. Just watch what you’re eating…make sure those free pizzas from all the clubs and activities don’t add up to massive amounts. So if you had pizza, like 5 days in a row, I would suggest maybe making a sandwich instead. Sandwiches are so easy, toss in ham in between two pieces of bread..and way healthier than any pizza. Water! …I can’t emphasize how much water is the best way to stay in shape, as well as keep you hydrated. So, toss the sodas, and drink water. Pack a bottle each day to class.

Also, exercising is also a key component if you want to stay in shape. You don’t have to run to the gym every day, but walking/biking to and from school does help give your recommended dose of exercise.

Basically, to sum it all up, just watch what you’re eating..make sure it’s not TOO unhealthy, drink plenty of water, and exercise.
