How can I start writing my Phd thesis?
I’m a bit scared… It’s something professional and I’m afraid I’m not good enough…
Is anyone experiencing the same? Is anyone able to give me some advices please?
Thank you!

PhD programs have dissertation prep courses. Take one- and each school has different requirements.
(2) Set working hours for your dissertation. Keep them! Do not do anything else during this time. Even if you’re just rereading what you’ve written or studying sources you’ve already read, that’s okay–your brain will be working on your dissertation topic. ***MOST IMPORTANT
(3) Ask your advisor if you can set up regular times to meet with him/her to discuss your progress.
(4) Consider getting hold of a copy of “How to Write and Survive a Dissertation.” Some people find it useful, some don’t.
(5) Face the fear. Acknowledge it and then plow on past it. You simply can’t know how good you are until you try your hardest. **SECOND MOST IMPORTANT
(6) If your topic has been approved and you’ve passed your orals, that constitutes a contract. Your dept has said, “If you do this work, we will pass you.” It doesn’t have to be the greatest dissertation in the history of your dept (although it would be nice if it were!). You just have to do what you said you would do, and you’ll be “Dr. Whatever.”
(7) Go to the library and read recent dissertations written by other students in your dept. This will give you an idea of what’s expected.
If you are truly working on your PhD, then …why are your asking what to do here????? If I were advanced in college enough to need to write a PhD thesis, I would probably be excited about the challenge, and know exactly where to find my ideas, resources and topics….
