Getting into University?

Alright, so I wanted to know how I can ensure or at least have a good chance of getting into university and I’m talking of just undergrad studies.

I know I need good grades, but what else?

How many volunteer hours should I do? (in Canada it’s mandatory in high school to do 40)

How many extra-circular activities should I join?

Anything else that universities like or look for?

If there are clubs that go towards your perspective major. (IE computer science club) also I’m not sure if Canada has AP classes or any other form of excellerated course but if they do then do that as well.

Even then it isn’t a lock to get in but that gives you the best shot.

in order to grab the attention of good universities you have to go beyond high school stuff. and unfortunately, volunteer work, extracurricular activities and good grades are among the ordinary.
