Midnight. I need my sleep

Only 1 am? Wow I’m impressed. Ok, just joking, sort of. I’m a fellow nursing school student and I find that most weeks I’m lucky if I get to bed by 1 am so I can get 5 hours of sleep to be up at 6. I’ve stayed up all night once studying for a test and DO NOT recommend it. If it’s coming on 4 am and I am still up, I give up for the night so that I can get at least 2 hours of sleep. I don’t do this often, but sometimes it happens. Most nights I’m up to around 1:30 studying, but I try to get to bed by midnight at least a couple of times a week. Nursing school is torture and I hate how a lot people who don’t know anyone who’s gone through nursing school don’t think it is that hard and don’t have respect for us. With the exception of medical school, I think nursing is the hardest program out there, with only law school coming close. We are expected to know just about as much as medical students, but also learn how to do it all in the holistic nursing way. It’s a lot of work, but if you ask me, totally worth it.

Good luck to you in school. Try not to let the stress get to you. It sucks, but it’s how nursing school goes. Hope you get to bed early every once and a while.

1 AM is early. I’ve studied until 4 AM before. The latest I stayed up to finish a paper was 6 AM — had a one hour nap and then got up to get ready and turn it in. Glad undergrad is over!

i start nursing school next week…! the latest i have stayed up studying for a college level class is about 1 am also..

I’m a filmmaking major and I’ve stayed up until about 10 am editing before. I started working on it at about 3 the afternoon before and worked all day and straight through the night. It was crazy, but I had a deadline.

I’ve stayed up clear until 10:30 the next morning…right up to the test. It paid off with a 3.89 GPA but I’m not gonna lie…it SUCKED and I’m so glad school is over!

when i was in college I would have to say no later than 11:30 at night because i never went to bed real late when I knew I had class the next day.So then the next day I would study before going ot class and again in class while i had time.Never have i pulled an all nighter to study.Don’t believe in doing that.

I’m going to music school, and I’ve often spent 3 days studying without sleep or respite for certain tests or projects.

Just 1 am? you’re so lucky 😛 For finals last semester I did a 24 hour stint and I don’t recommend it.
