help on what to write for my college essay for admissions.?

i can choose from one of these three topics.

1. Tell us your favorite quotation, who said it, and why it is meaningful to you.

2. Please name a global issue that concerns you and explain why.

3. What is the best advice you have ever received, and why?

which one do you think would be the best to write about and what could i possibally write about for any of these three?

Like the first answerer said, the best topic is the one that inspires you the most. When you first read these topics, which one jumped out most to you? Is there one that you can’t help but think about the answer? Don’t pick an essay just because you think it is what they want to hear. Don’t write about global issues if all you think is that it shows that you are globally aware; if that’s not who you are, then don’t try and write it because it will show in your essay.

If after thinking about it a little, you still can’t decide which to write about. Try taking a stab at writing all three. Then go back over them and see which one is the best.

I heard that the quote doesn’t work to well.

Number two works well, because it show that you know what is going on in the world and that you have ideas for the future, which is what colleges want to see.

Number three is again iffy but if you can write a good topic on it then go for it.

I believe number two would be best overall because it does demonstate you know what is going on in the world.

For number one if you chose it i would write about a quote from Jesus, Or one of the Major presidents: Washington, Jefferson, F.D.R.

Global topics, Gobal warming, War in Iraq, Running out of natural resorces…

The best one to write about is the one that you find most inspiring. If you don’t know which one that is yet, sit down and brainstorm some topics for each of them, and see which one gives you the best ideas.
