have colleges lost all credibility?

in one week they allow the president of iran but california wont allow the president of harvard to speak. have they all gone insane? is this the end for colleges in the us? high cost low job placement and crazy nut jobs this could be the end of us colleges.

Any publicity is good publicity. Ward Churchill made the University of Colorado infamous for a while, and that new 15-minutes of fame guy Andrew something from Florida has now put his University on the map.

IMO the schools kind of like this notoriety because it encourages students who like these outspoken ideals to enroll in their school. If a student likes the ideas that come from Churchill, then they’ll know that more than likely they’ll find an atmosphere like that at the University of Colorado. Likewise the University of Florida. So future prospective students could’ve had an idea of going elsewhere, but now that they heard about “X” school because of these news stories they now know for certain where they want to go. That’s great business.

it seems like only the “prestigous” and incredibly overly priced schools are in the news for not so great things lately. i was VERY surprised the president of iran was going to be speaking at a college….just not something i expected! i love the school i go to…it’s reasonably priced and its job placement is fairly high as well.

You’re just jealous because you weren’t accepted.
