Great Britain, England, UK — can you briefly define the difference?
England is literally the nation of England. It is part of the UK.
GB Great Britain: England, Scotland and Wales. It’s not a country (although it used to be). Now it’s just the Island, plus a few of the smaller islands around it.
UK: is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. So that’s England, Scotland, Wales, and N. Ireland. It’s a country, made up of the four constituent nations.
1. United Kingdom: England, Scotland, Wales and N.Ireland.
2. Great Britain : England, Scotland and Wales.
3. England : England.
Hope this helps, not sure about the “sharp phrasing” though.
