Good school in NC to help me get OUT of NC?

I hate red necks and want to get the hell out of this damn state and back up north where I belong (Damn my parents for moving here)

But finding a university is hard, All of the ones I could afford are to southern based, I HATE southern people.

I was Looking at NC State, or UNCG. But Ive read that those aren’t respected.

AHH PLEASE HELP!!

Duke University, Wake Forest University, and UNC @ Chapel Hill are all good schools. If you go to SC, you have the Citadel and Spalding College.

Duke, UNC and Wake Forest are the best universities in the state — but NC State is pretty well respected.

I moved from NYC to attend Duke — and found the trianle a little more enlightened than some other parts of the state.

Both Duke and UNC are highly respected schools, as is Warren Wilson (a small, private school outside Asheville).

Your attitude is far less respectable than the schools you’re looking at, IMHO. I’m sorry you feel this way about the South and the people who live there. Maybe if you go to one of these schools you’ll find that you have something to learn about southerners (maybe even that they’re not much different from you) and from them.
