Good GPA, but bad/mediocre SAT scores?

My SAT Reasoning scores are usually pretty mediocre. I tend to score less than 2000 (maybe in the range of 1800-1900) on practice tests. Is it possible to go a good UC system school such as UCLA on a good GPA, but mediocre or bad SAT scores?

AP test scores are not required to get into any Universities – only SAT, SAT Subject tests or the ACT. It also depends upon how poorly you did on the SAT. You won’t get into a UC with an 1100, but you can get into a lower ranking one with a 1550 or 1600. If it isn’t that high, then just apply to one of the many other Universities in California – Univ of San Diego, Univ of San Francisco, etc. If your SAT is under 1200, then I would suggest Community college first.

My advice for you would be to go to www.collegeboard.com and check out how you stack up in every college your considering going to. If your SAT and ACT and GPA scores are greater than or equal to the school your looking at, chances are your gonna get in the school without any issues.
